Be prepared and “Ready to Escape.” The VAGABOND Impact Vest has been developed as a minimalistic, highly comfortable vest featuring the necessary tools to go offshore. - Compact & lightweight - Ready to escape - Cut-resistant jersey - Big pockets to travel light Compact & lightweight : The VAGABOND is designed for riders who want to push their level while staying safe. Made to provide the best balance between protection and freedom of movement, its thin 15mm foam layer will go unnoticed while riding. We made a vest that you’ll be happy – not compelled – to wear. Ready to escape : It features individual PLASTIMO flashlight, whistle, reflective prints, and leash attachments for your accessories (like caps, VHF, phone case…). Most of us think they don’t need that kind of gear until something happens. Don’t wait until you’re stuck in a bad situation, these are not a burden when riding and can save your life. Cut-resistant jersey : We have chosen a specific cut-resistant jersey to avoid any bad injuries due to a kite line, a foil, or anything sharp that you could encounter. Big pockets to travel light : Bring your stuff with you, whether it’s a tool, some snacks, or your phone; the two front pockets will be useful for these long days out there. These are built in airprene, meaning water will instantly leak out if it eventually comes in.
Offshore vest
The OFFSHORE is made for those who spend their day out there. It allows you to carry water, a tool, your phone, a snack, safety equipment and much more thanks to its practical and accessible pockets. Its fit is inspired by trail running vests, hence maintaining a great freedom of movement and mobility of the upper body once at sea. The OFFSHORE takes up as little space as possible on the water, while still being able to carry a maximum number of accessories, including a wing! Indeed, thanks to its two external straps, it allows you to deflate in total comfort. Once you've reached your starting point, sit on your board, fold the wing, open the two straps, and compress the wing outside the bag. What's more, the often-flashy colors of the wings make you even more visible from afar. We advise you to use the WING PADDLE ATTACHMENTS we've developed, so that you can secure your paddle along the central strut of your wing. The OFFSHORE bag has paddle attachments, but having the paddle in the wing is much more comfortable. A word about “deflating”: SUP foil downwind is becoming increasingly popular, but the logistics of a downwinder are complicated. Riding upwind with a wing, deflating, and then paddling out is much more practical: no car, possibility of choosing the length of your DW, etc. MANERA has therefore decided to create a light, practical vest adapted to this sport: the OFFSHORE. Note related to SUP foil downwinding: There are handy, mini hand pumps that can re-inflate a wing in just a few minutes, up to 6-7 PSI. These pumps can be a safety feature in case of difficulty (e.g. inability to take-off). They fit in the OFFSHORE's pocket, and we've designed a nozzle to adapt these pumps to F-ONE wings’ valves. Backpack - Hydratation bag The outside pocket has a compartment for a hydration pack and a large pocket ready for your belongings. (The hydratation bag is not included with the offshore.) Low profile, lightweight, fitted : Inspired by trail running vests, using light and resistant materials, the OFFSHORE is made to be forgotten. Whistle buckle : The chest release buckle features an integrated safety whistle, which may come in handy if you ever need to be heard or call for help at sea. Front pockets : Keep your phone and VHF radio close at hand, on your chest. Paddle attachment : We recommend attaching the paddle along the central strut of the wing, but it's perfectly possible to have it on your back as in a "quiver" thanks to the two straps. Leash attachments : The vest features a multitude of leash attachments to secure caps, bucket hats, glasses, phones and other accessories. Hand pump connector : The hand pump connector is a tip/connector used to connect the valve of your wing with a standard balloon pump. This allows you to carry a compact pump in a bag, which you can use if you need to re-inflate your Wing, during a downwind.*The Connector is not included in the OFFSHORE vest. For commercial reasons, we did not produce this connector. But we still wanted everyone to be able to access the design and have it 3D-printed at home, so you'll find a link below to download the ready-to-print design.
